New Year

May 1st is just around the corner and that starts a whole new year for our lodge. Bob Gladney is returning as our Governor along with Kevin Creech as Jr. Governor and Dennis Hickman as Treasurer. We have a new trustee, Lyn Luck to join Rich Taylor and John Harding. Bill Creech remains our ever loyal Prelate. The counter is reset to zero for our membership drive and we need to get old and new members involved. We look forward to a great upcoming year.

Hello all. We are coming close to the end of the membership drive year and we are 7 short of our quota. We really need everyone to see who they can sign as a new member. The lodge needs members to allow us to continue to support our community, MooseHeart and MooseHaven.

UPDATE: As of 11/28/10 we have collected $974.00. Thanks to everyone who has donated both time and money for this great cause.

UPDATE: As of 11/22/10 we have collected $480.00.

We are at that time of year again. When we gather around with family and friends to celebrate all that we have. This year our lodge will again be adopting two families. We have some containers set up at the lodge and are asking for donations of non perishables. Canned goods, rice, sugar, cleaning supplies etc. We also have bucket for monetary donations. The items that our families are asking for are posted on our bulletin board. We hope we can look to the same kind of generosity we experienced last year. We were able to provide a warm and wonderful Christmas for two families. We raised nearly $800.00. The lodge will be donating $100.00 to each family but that is just a start. There is also a $100.00 donation from the funds raised from the Silex fall festival and another $100.00 donation from the funds raised in our trivia night. That is a total of $400.00 so far. I know that we can do as well or even better than we did last year. I ask each of you to do what you can so that we can provide a warm and wonderful Christmas this year to the families we are adopting. From everyone at the Lodge we wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving and a very merry Christmas.

We are looking for members to volunteer to keep our lodge moving forward. This lodge belongs to all of the members. The officers who are in place are put in place by you and you only. If there are changes you want to see made at the lodge please attend the meetings and bring those thoughts and ideas with you so we can get them before the membership, voted on and implemented. Remember this is your lodge, a place for you to feel comfortable and enjoy the fellowship.
